Sales Team Interaction: From our first hello to congratulating you on closing day, our dedicated sales team will work with you throughout the whole home buying process. They’ll be there to answer your questions, assist you during your home selection process, and help you make the best decisions at every turn!
Design Studio Appointments: Your first and most exciting stop will be to our Design Studio in Troy where you will select from a vast array of interior and exterior materials for your new home. You’ll see displays of bricks and stones, hardwoods and tiles, cabinets, granite counters, fixtures, and much more. You will meet with our design specialist who will provide one-on-one attention to help you choose everything from the fundamentals to the finishing touches of your beautiful new home.
Pre-Construction Meeting: You will meet with the Builder and Project Manager to review your finalized home plans once all interior and exterior design selections are complete. During this meeting we will cover everything from plot plans and building prints to construction processes and what to expect along the way in building a new home. Our homebuyers enjoy this opportunity to get to know the construction team, have any outstanding questions answered, and feel confident in the quality processes and people of Garrett Homes.
Electrical/ Low Voltage Walkthrough: After the framing is complete, we invite you to walk your home with our Master Electrician. At this time, you may elect to add additional lighting, plugs, and low voltage items beyond our extensive standard lighting and electric package, ensuring your home will meet all your wiring needs.
Pre-Drywall Walkthrough: Shortly before drywall is installed on your new home, we provide you the opportunity to walk with our professional site manager to see the quality work behind your home’s walls. In doing so, you’ll rest assured your new home is moving right along as planned and incorporates quality workmanship inside and out.
Pre-Closing Orientation: Once your new home is complete, we’ll have you meet with ProHome, a national orientation and warranty management company. As an independent third party, the ProHome experts will walk you through your home, thoroughly inspecting it for quality assurance. They will document any adjustments that need to be made. They will also provide valuable insight and information on proper care and maintenance of the features and systems in your new home.
Final Walkthrough: We do our best to have our trade partners take care of any needed adjustments from the ProHome list prior to closing. Our site manager will meet with you to review the list and confirm the items have been addressed, as appropriate. You’ll see vacuum lines in the carpet, shiny floors and sparkling counters, and you’ll head to the closing knowing your new home is truly complete and ready to enjoy.
